      Finding The Best Lender For Your Buyer

   Being the best mortgage lender for your buyers includes many aspects, including those extending far beyond finding the perfect home for their family. When working with a military family, these extraneous details become even more important, as they are often operating on tight timelines, and are in higher stress move situations.    Many buyers come into the picture having minimal knowledge of what lenders do, or why it would even matter which one to choose. It becomes our job to educate them on the intricacies of the VA loan, and how different the packages lenders offer may look. The most important component of this assist is helping the client get the pre-qualification process started by getting them connected with a VA-specializing lender. Early pre-qualification is the gateway to successful shopping and getting offers on the table first.    There are many factors to consider when choosing a lender to refer your clients to, and increasingly so if you plan to partner with them. Most importantly, your chosen lender must absolutely have experience working with, and fully funding multiple VA loans. This experience is essential to assuring understanding of the process, and completion of all necessary tasks along the way.   Rate packages, fees, and closing timelines are also extremely important considerations. If your client has a tight schedule, you do not want to choose a lender who cannot meet a 30 day close. Remember to educate on the ability to shop lender packages- even the most highly rated mortgage company can occasionally be beat!    In summary, it is our responsibility to educate and empower our clients, especially our buyers. Assuring they have the knowledge and resources to sign for the best overall lending package should not only be the goal, but the duty, of each real estate agent!
