This is so true, even though I struggle with consistency. So much so that in 2021 I decided my word of the year would be “consistent.” 

Why? Because I knew if I could stay consistent at something, even when it didn’t pay off, I knew I would see the benefits over the long haul. Staying consistent meant doing the things even when I didn’t want to. Doing the things I should be doing even when there was something that was clearly more entertaining (like watching TikTok videos). 

The thing about consistency is you have to keep showing up and putting in the work to build your referral network every day, even when you’re not getting referrals. Eventually you’ll see the benefits and, when you do, you’ll be glad that you spent that time building a full pipeline of potential referrals.
