As you are probably aware, April is the Month of the Military Child, where we proudly recognize our children for their role and sacrifice as part of our military community. Don’t forget to wear purple on April 14th to celebrate these amazing, resilient military kids!

It’s orders season, and if you’re still waiting for orders you might be feeling a little uneasy. You’re living in that limbo phase of knowing you will be moving but don’t know when or where and the stress and anxiety can quickly add up!

Here are a few things you can do while you’re still waiting for your PCS orders:

• Start purging items you don’t need or use anymore

• Plan your budget ahead of time

• Have a moving day game plan

Every homeowner wants to make sure that they have all the facts before they purchase a new home. Square footage, updates, repairs, and if you have children you’ll want to look into school districts and neighborhoods. 

But, if you have ever shopped for a home before, you might have tried to ask your Realtor for information about the neighborhood or schools and received a vague answer. The reason for this is because of the Fair Housing Act which prohibits Realtors from revealing certain information or expressing their opinion on certain topics. 

Legally, a Realtor can’t discuss the following topics:

-Crime statistics

-Neighborhood status

-Quality of school district

-Religion
