Finding Your Joy in Real Estate
December 2024
Finding Your Joy in Being a Realtor this December
As the year winds down and the holiday season kicks into full gear, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of showings, paperwork, and deadlines. But December is also a time to reflect on the joy that comes with being a Realtor. Amidst the busy holiday season, here are a few ways to reconnect with the reasons why you love your work and find joy in your journey as a real estate professional:
1. Celebrating the Gift of Helping Others
This time of year, many people are focused on what matters most: family, home, and comfort. As a Realtor, you play a vital role in helping people find their dream homes, whether they’re settling into a new space for the holidays or embarking on a new chapter in the new year. Take pride in the fact that you’re helping families create memories in homes that will bring them joy for years to come.
2. Reflecting on Your Successes
December offers a perfect opportunity to reflect on the year that’s passed. Take a moment to celebrate your achievements, big and small. Whether you’ve helped a first-time buyer find their dream home or closed an incredible deal, acknowledging your progress can remind you of how far you’ve come and the difference you’re making.
3. Embracing the Spirit of Giving
The holiday season is a time for giving, and as a Realtor, there are so many ways you can give back. Consider hosting a toy drive, organizing a community event, or simply sending a heartfelt thank-you card to past clients. Acts of kindness can remind you why you entered this industry in the first place: to build connections and make a positive impact.
4. Building Meaningful Relationships
One of the greatest joys of being a Realtor is the relationships you build along the way. This December, make time to connect with past clients, colleagues, and partners. Sending a simple holiday greeting or checking in to see how they’re doing can strengthen your network and remind you of the meaningful bonds you’ve created.
5. Finding Joy in the Little Things
While the market can be unpredictable, the little moments can bring the greatest joy. Whether it’s receiving a thank-you note from a grateful client or seeing the look on someone’s face when they find their perfect home, take time to savor these moments. They’re the heart and soul of why you do what you do.
This December, let’s embrace the joy that comes with helping others, reflecting on our success, and connecting with our community. As we head into the new year, let’s carry forward this sense of purpose and gratitude in our work, knowing that what we do has a lasting impact on the lives of others.
Wishing you joy, peace, and fulfillment this holiday season!

Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for rolling)
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for rolling)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and 1 1/2 cups of sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
Add eggs: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, making sure each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
Mix wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until just combined.
Prepare cinnamon-sugar mixture: In a small bowl, combine the 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.
Form dough balls: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls (you can use a cookie scoop for even sizing).
Roll in cinnamon sugar: Roll each dough ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, coating it thoroughly.
Place on baking sheet: Arrange the cookie dough balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the cookies are slightly golden. The centers may look a bit soft, but they will firm up as they cool.
Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
