2023 Market Predictions

    Anyone in real estate knows that the last few years have been anything but predictable, almost to the level of volatility at times. Market experts have been submitting  their predictions for 2023, and the outlook is swaying in an interesting manner!

   One common trend in predictions is the stabilization of the market. This can actually be good news for the agent, because it leads to greater predictability for both buyer and seller clients. While mortgage rates increased throughout 2022, they seem to be sitting at a somewhat stable level, and serious buyers are getting more comfortable with the idea of them.

   Another prediction, that we are already seeing play out, is a shift from a seller’s market, or even a leveling of playing ground in some areas. While this may make some potential sellers nervous, it paves the way for increased negotiations. In the world of military real estate, this also aids  incoming families in areas where they have had low chances of competing for homes in recent years.

   While we will all have to wait to see how the year ends up playing out, we can ready ourselves for the swing in either direction, or even a leveling of favor. Begin lining up your buyers and sellers, watch the market analyses, and get your clients set up with a mls search to watch. Prepare your buyers for a sale that may be back to pre-2020 standards, as there may be concessions to be made. Whatever the year and the market brings, we are here for you and ready to navigate it together!
