To buy or not to buy? 🤔

,

You’ve probably seen all the talk about this “crazy” market we’re in and you might be wondering, “Should I buy a home right now?”

Read our most recent blog for our thoughts!

Another great way to take advantage of the current market is to purchase investment properties.

Whether you’re looking to earn a return on the investment through rental income, resale of the property in the future, or both, here are some things to consider before you invest in your first property:

How much can I afford?

Do you have a financial plan in place?

Do you understand how to analyze the potential ROI?

Agreeing to a budget as a couple can be a daunting task, especially for military couples who have so many other important things vying for their attention.

What works for one couple might not work for others, but here are a few ideas to get the conversation started:

  • Organize your financial accounts

My husband and I use multiple accounts for our different needs. We have separate checking and savings accounts and though it seems like a lot to manage, it really gives us a clear view of where we are and what’s leftover after the bills are paid.

  • Make it fun

Talking about money can be stressful, but if the two of you can sit down together and make a list of all the fun or exciting things you want to plan for, it will help you see the importance of sticking to your budget.
